OVERALL PERSONALITY
Where to begin? I'll try to start off with his good traits. Russell is loyal to those he trusts and can call his friends. Right now, he can't really call anyone his friend, since his dear husband is now truly dead. Russell can put on a polite and charming countenance when he needs to. Russell is rather gracious to his guests that come to his house. If he had none of his negative traits, I believe you could really call him a true Southern gentleman.
But, it's sad to say, that he's not as gentlemanly as he would like everyone to believe. Russell has a cold and calculating side that strives for nothing but power. Having grown up as a Pagan, he believes humans are destroying the planet, and Russell is bent on stopping them from doing so. Russell is the epitome of why people are afraid of vampires. He feeds on them viciously and would love nothing more than a world rid of all Homo sapiens.

HOME Town Near the Carpathian Mountains
OVERALL HISTORY
Russell was born around the year 950 BC. He is of Celtic origin and lived near the Carpathian mountains. His parents names remain unknown. The early first century were simple times. He spent his days helping around the little shack they called a house and the rest of the time worshiping the gods the Druids believed in. Russell doesn't exactly believe in those gods anymore but he does still take his Pagan upbringing seriously.
It was when he was nearing his fiftieth year of life (very few people back then were lucky enough to live that old) that he was out running an errand late at night. A vampire literally came out of the sky and drained him of his blood and then gave him theirs and spent the night with him underground, thereby effectively turning Russell into a vampire. His maker taught him the basics of surviving being among the living undead and then left him on his own. Russell wasn't too happy about this new life of his but he was never a quitter. He got by as best as he could.
He traveled the world until, approximately 700 years ago, he ended up in Greece, where late at night, he ran into Talbot. He decided to feed on the handsome man but there was just something about him that he couldn't let him die. Russell let him go, not knowing that the dark-haired young man was infatuated with the vampire. Russell ran into Talbot the next night. Talbot wanted to be fed on again. Russell did so, and this time it led to more than just feeding. You could say it was love at first bite (Note: Sorry for the foolish pun). It wasn't long before Russell decided to turn Talbot into a vampire, making him his companion for all time.
:Russell for the longest time he's always had a pack of werewolves serving him--that there's no reason vampires and werewolves need to be enemies when they can become such loyal (albeit, dumb) slaves. He sent the pack of wolves that killed Eric Northman's whole family around 930 AD. Russell worked his way up the vampire ranks, until he became King of Mississippi, where he now lives in Jackson in a huge mansion with Talbot, a lot of bodyguards, and a pack of werewolves.
He won the hand of Sophie-Anne LeClerq (Queen of Louisiana) in marriage because of her money troubles. Now the two kingdoms are united. When it is revealed to Russell that Sookie Stackhouse is a fairy and that drinking her blood would allow him to walk in sunlight again, he took the bait...But only went outside during the day after Eric had already gone out. Eric, using silver handcuffs, handcuffed himself to Russell outside. Sookie rescued the two of them. And, bound in silver, Eric took Russell to a construction site and buried the King under cement. Russell has recently escaped though and is more than ready to get revenge on those who want him dead.

Lestat let a small smile cross his face at Dean’s words. “No, can never be too careful,” he agreed. And Lestat silently cursed himself because he himself wasn’t taking care right now. Normally, he would go out wearing gloves to hide his fingernails that looked more like glass than actual fingernails, and normally, he would have donned a pair of sunglasses to hide his violet eyes that could easily put a mere mortal into some kind of a trance if they stared at the vampire’s eyes for too long. But Lestat surmised that his mind unconsciously didn’t think that he was going to run into anyone, so he had decided that the precautions weren’t worth it.
It was all right though. This wasn’t the first time all precautions had been dropped. Lestat was just going to have to be extra careful. No big deal. ”I could welcome you to this lovely town,” he replied, making a sweeping gesture with his arms, “If I myself knew where this town was.” It was sort of comforting to know that he hadn’t been the only one who was dragged here against their will. It could only mean that there were even more people out there, which, in turn, made Lestat hopeful that some of his fellow vampire friends had been brought here too. What he wouldn’t give to find them!
Ah, but there was a simple solution to the problem! He could read the thoughts of people (and vampires that he hadn’t created), even if they were miles away. Lestat wasn’t going to just stand there staring off into space though. Dean wouldn’t know what he was doing, so Lestat put his head down and began to pace back and forth, as if he were contemplating what they should do next. All the while, he concentrated on finding anyone’s mind who happened to be in this little world too. He did catch snatches of thoughts here and there; most of the people seemed to be just as confused as the two of them were. It seemed no one knew what was going on. Sadly, though, Lestat didn’t pick up on any other vampires in this town. That didn’t mean they weren’t out there though. A lot of vampires were careful with guarding their thoughts, putting up imaginary brick walls to keep other vampires out.
But enough with other people’s minds. Lestat slowed down his pacing as he entered into Dean’s mind. What the hell? Were those werewolves he was thinking about right now? Who was this guy? Some kind of killer of all things supernatural? Just great! Of all the people he could have run into it had to be someone who would want to kill him if Dean ever found out his true nature.
Suddenly, he stopped his pacing around just as suddenly as he had started it. Lestat turned to face Dean again, knowing that this man standing across from him probably had more dangerous things on his person other than the shotgun that was visible. ”I need to find more people. You…You should stay here just in case somebody else comes wandering around looking for others like I did.” He turned around and headed for the front entrance of the shack, hoping that Dean would have no qualms about that plan—that he wasn’t going to say, ‘Hey, I think we should stick together because, for all we know, we’re the only two people here.’ And Lestat couldn’t go and tell him that he knew for a fact that there were other people here.
