Overall Personality/Appearance[/color]: Samuel isn't one to catch up on the latest fashion for men. He's not a fairy. He's usually seen in a pair of jeans, a shirt of some kind, and his trademark leather jacket. He hates wearing things that are more dressy and "nice looking" because they're usually acutely uncomfortable and involve wearing some type of monkey suit, which he doesn't like. Sam wears whatever makes him comfortable and something he can fight in. If he wasn't ready for the many enemies he's made in Louisiana, he wouldn't be ready for anything.
Personality-wise, Sam is a pain in the ass if you're not a friend of his. He's cold and calculating, not wanting to make friends with just anyone. He prefers keeping to himself. Less pain that way. If he doesn't connect with people, then no one can hurt him. He hates people in general due to his past, and it's made it rather hard for Sam to be involved with anyone.
Even though Sam hates people, the few people he'd gotten himself attached to (friends-wise) he's incredibly loyal to them. He'd die for his friends and he'll kill anyone who got in his way of saving them. Yes, he can be a little annoying with his nobility streak, but he prefers not letting people know about it. He gets teased by his friends about it, and if they're male he beats them up. He doesn't like anyone seeing his "soft" side and he will beat up whoever teases him about it.

Overall History[/color]: Samuel James Knight was born to Samantha James and Zachary Knight 23 years ago. He was joined 6 years later by his baby brother, Andrew, and the two of them were spoiled rotten. As a child, Sam was loved and having way too much fun for his own good, and that transferred over to his teenage years. Sam was a party guy and he was constantly drunk or high out of his mind and he used his money to get out of it with the police.
Sure, Sam liked to throw his money around when he was a teenager, but he learned soon enough to put it away and use it later for emergencies. He's got a shitton of money in the bank, and he only uses a small portion of it by living in a small apartment and getting a job, but he's happy.
Sam lives on his own after he moved out of his parents house and didn't go to college after high school. He stayed in Bon Temps and became a bartender at Merlotte's. He likes his job, especially since he gets to take home some of the alcohol at times, and he's made a lot of connections through his job. Those come in handy a lot of times when he needs help with legal or social problems. (A lot of those problems were legal, but who's counting?)
Lately, Sam has found himself watching one of the busboys more than usual. The kid was at least 4 years younger than Sam, but he didn't care. Sam has found himself being extremely protective of the blonde boy and he refuses to let anyone hurt him.
