LIKES Sushi, Calligraphy, Meditation, Tai-Chi, Tea Ceremonies, Kimono's
DISLIKES Greasy Food, Heights, Loud Noises, Being Singled Out, Crowds
STRENGTHS Honesty, "Muting Voices" (unless she is under stress or panicked), Walking around unnoticed, Being Quiet
WEAKNESSES When she is panicked she has a hard time muting out the voices and suffers from black outs if not controlled in time, It is hard for her to approach others or to stand up for herself, she isn't physically strong and can easily be "man handled".
OVERALL PERSONALITY Miso is a timid and withdrawn girl when you do not know her. Having the ability to read people's minds has caused her to not want to approach most people and she has managed to keep her ability secret from everyone but her parents because her mother is a telepath herself. She is quiet, soft spoken, and very light on her feet - she has a habit of just showing up somewhere without making a sound. These characteristics have led her to her well deserved nickname "Mouse". A compassionate individual, she has a love for animals and often finds herself talking more to them than actual people.
Non judgmental she would rather ignore rumors and form an opinion of a person on her own. As a telepath, she is neutral when it comes to the supernatural world. She harbors no ill feelings toward any race, however vampires do frighten her because she cannot hear what they are thinking. When a vampire is in close proximity she keeps her head down and tries to remain inconspicuous if at all possible.
As a lover she is loyal, as a friend she is honest, as an enemy she is not very strong and would rather choose to 'flight' rather than 'fight'. A downside to her withdrawn personality is that she doesn't have very many friends, and is often casted off as the wallflower. Thanks to her mother she was able to have a handle on her ability to read minds, and is able to "mute" many voices as long as she is not under too much stress. When she is scared or panicked it is almost impossible for her to 'turn off'' her ability and because of this she has suffered from black-out's in the past when her body just cannot take anymore.

Jamieson, Faerie, Grandfather (Miso's grandfather Jamieson keepsa close eye on Miso but has never actually introduced himself to Miso in person. He is a pure fairy and does not cross the threshold often)
HOME Town Toyko, Japan
OVERALL HISTORY
Miso was born on April 9th, 1990 to Ayumi and Yuki Shuu in Toyko, Japan. Miso's father is a traditionalist, and a sushi chef while Miso's mother is a seamstress and a hostess. Miso was raised in Toyko with her family and both her parents knew that there was a chance Miso would have the ability of Telepathy.
Her ability fully started to manifest when she was old enough to talk, but her parents had decided to home school her until she was able to control the ability.
Miso started attending a private girl's school in Grade Eight but she was maliciously teased for her shy nature and her inability to really get close to anyone. Her self esteem suffered and at her worst she would lose her handle on muting the voices, her parents deciding to pull her out when she suffered a blackout during a school assembly. She went back to being home schooled by her mother until Grade Twelve where she spent a year back in private school. The second time around she was able to control her ability a bit better, however she was still a loner and kept mostly to herself.
Growing up it had been Ayumi who, along with teaching her academics, had also taught her how to control her ability. Miso's mother taught her how to get a handle on her telepathy through meditation, yoga, and Tai-Chi. She learned about other supernatural's but never interacted with any of them first on. After she graduated from high school Miso's father had decided the family would relocate to America where a business opportunity had opened up.
Miso's parents live in Shreveport but it had been Miso's decision to move to Bon Temps on her own. Her father has opened up a Sushi Restaurant in Shreveport and Miso visit's her parents every Sunday for a traditional tea ceremony. She took a job at the Grabbit Kwik as a cashier and has been working there for the last two months. She has met the occasional vampire coming through for bottles of tru blood and has always been very quiet and soft spoken around them. For the most part they do not pay her much attention, but Miso is still intimated by them.

Dawn was breaking through the crimson silk curtains that covered the window facing the eastern side of the estate. The sliver of light peeking through had been enough to rouse Miso from her sleep, a yawn musing past her thin lips as she sat up and stretched as much as her body would allow. Thank goodness it was Sunday morning, any minute now there would be a knock on the door from her brother before he rushed down the stairs to beat her to the kitchen table.
Every Sunday morning, no matter the circumstance, the Shuu family gathered at the kitchen table for a five course breakfast. They had been doing this since Miso could remember and it would of been silly to change such a simple family tradition. It was a tradition that mattered a lot to Miso, equally it had mattered to each member of the Shuu family.
Miso was wearing an oversize sweater and blue jeans, complete with kawaii accessories of course. It wasn't an unusual getup to see Miso in at the kitchen table, she had always been the more flamboyant one of the brother and sister team. Flamboyant, playful, and with her own unique sense of style that nobody could ever take away from her. It was amazing to think she was a skilled thief with the ability to walk through mirrors when she seemed so interested in just being her usual playful self.
Her father Okita, as always, barely looked up from his tea and his newspaper when Miso took her seat beside her brother. Her mother Riko, however, had her full attention on making sure every last plate found it's way to the table. Everything from the steamed rice, the miso soup, the grilled fish and finally the rolled omelet all had their places on the table. Once Riko sat down Okita had put down his newspaper and a smile emerged on his face.
"Ohayou, family"
Miso lowered and bowed her head respectively. "Ohayou, father." She in turn had bowed her head respectively to her brother and sister as well. "Ohayou brother. Ohayou mother."
Ohayou meant good morning.
The moment the greetings were done Miso's father had been the first one to begin to eat, then followed by her brother, her mother, and finally herself. This was the way every Sunday morning was, and this was the way Miso had grown to cherish it.
