Since for one to live forever, you can't possibly think to remember ever second of every day and what has happened.
His freedom and his will to be adventurous was very important to him when he was a human. After he was turned however, he felt that those two curcial values of his being were stripped from his life and his body. With these traits stripped from him, he became cold and heartless and didn't care about anything or anyone he came across. He was deemed one of the ruthless procurers of the area.
The reason being was that since in his charm, he was able to luer his victims away from their comfort zone and bring them to the queen and seen them devoured brutally or feed on slowly infront of him with out a care in the world.
All this changed however in the year 2008, when he moved back to Bon Temps, Louisiana. He met a woman named Sookie Stackhosue and through her he started to care and actually love again. And over the course of three years, they had become a couple and he had made it known that no one was to touch her.

The body is something heavy and thick. It laid on it's side like a log. Bill shoved it from him like a burdan as his limbs become jelly and his arms become weights. He needed to get away, get clear of the man before he wakes up. Stumbling, falling, catching himself again, Bill leveraged himself against the wall and began forward at an awkward gate. It's was a Bolsheviks winter in 1942 and he saw a three-legged dog walk to the river's edge and go for a swim. Slinking into the sewer again for the night, Bill heard the vague rumbling of the trains in the distance and was lulled to sleep by their metal music.
Bill's eyes looked around as he came out of the vision and he looked at Sookie who was sleeping soundly next to him. Why were these visions of his past coming back to him? He didn't know the answer but he was sure as hell going to find out. It was almost daytime and he only laid with Sookie since she liked it when they laid together while she slept. Apparently this held purpose to humans.
He looked at her and moved a piece of hair out of her eyes as he smiled, "you don't know what you've done to help me, Sookie Stackhouse"he said as he looked at her and laid back down and waited for her to wake up. When she awoke he kissed her good morning and went downstairs to cook her some breakfast. After seeing her off it was his turn to sleep. He couldn't understand the reason to being in the sun...All he knew was that he missed it and longed in some part of his body to share the day with Sookie and to actually try to blend in more than just having her rely on him for late nights or constantly staying in the house or going out in hooded protected cloak so he wouldn't burn.
