DISLIKES Authority, screaming, blood (while he enjoys these things, they do haunt him rather proficiently in his nightmares), stupid women who throw themselves on him, vampires, werewolves for thinking they're superior (he'd like to go up against a werewolf just to prove he's better - and he so is!), some humans, most of the other Supernatural species.
STRENGTHS After his years of training with different African military groups, he has excellent knowledge of most weapons, and knows hand to hand combat efficiently. He has an in-depth knowledge of torture, able to inflict the maximum amount of pain and agony on a victim while keeping them alive as long as possible. He knows how to pick locks, and can spot most authority types from a mile away. He's a proficient tracker and possesses prudent tactical skills and an instinctive ability to "read" behavioral characteristics and manipulate people. He's also stronger than the average human, and more agile.
WEAKNESSES His shifting hurts, as does most of the scars (he still has several bullets in his body) that cover him. He often experiences 'phantom' aches and pains from old injuries that have healed, and he can be killed by most normal methods, but it is harder to kill him because he will not go down without a fight.
OVERALL PERSONALITY Being cursed by an African Shaman has left Raoul rather two sided. On one hand, he's cold and methodical, a true hunter and killer trained in the art. He will not hesitate to start a fight or to kill someone if they truly piss him off. In fact, he likes killing. He likes the thrill from having someone's blood spill out onto his hands.
On the other hand, his past has left him haunted. He hates the sight of blood sometimes, especially in his dreams, and some days he won't even touch a weapon. He's still cruel and dark, but in a less methodical and more maniacal way. He's a tad perverted, and seductive, and usually goes after what he wants. He won't even care if you say no, not that many people do, because that is the type of person that he is.

OVERALL HISTORYBorn in South Africa to American parents, Raoul spent most of his childhood wondering why they were living in such a place - the village they were living in was directly in the center of multiple civil war conflicts. His mother was the first to be killed. During a gun fight she was trying to get Raoul to safety and was gunned down by people they thought were allies. Turns out, during a civil war, no one is your ally. Soon after, Raoul, who was only 6 at the time, found himself caught up in training with one of the military units, and by the age of 10 was efficient with a gun and a knife. It was shortly after he hit puberty that he realised he was not like everyone else. His father finally admitted that his parents were werelions, and had moved to Africa to find fellow werelions to create a pack, as theirs had been killed back in America.
Raoul shifted the day after he turned 13, the first night of the full moon, and ended up killing several innocents from the village. As time went on, he learned to control his shifting, but could not satiate his bloodlust. He became a marvelous hunter and killer, and rose to the ranks in the military unit until he was second below the leader at the age of 19. But, and this is something we all know, the faces of the innocents that you kill come back to haunt you. During a mission through what seemed to be an enemy village, Raoul slaughtered a group of children who were being protected by an elderly man. Before the man was also killed, he warned Raoul that his past would destroy him, and that Africa would not suffer his barbaric nature forever.
What he didn't realise is that the old man was an old African shaman, and cursed Raoul with visions of all the people he had killed. Men, women and children haunted him for many years, until finally he left Africa and returned to his family's home in Bon Temps. He still has nightmares, thanks to the Shaman, and he hasn't picked up a gun since, but he can't shake the personality he developed from all those years of fighting, and usually scares most people off.
