It's 2011, here. Where is here exactly? Here, is in Winter Hollow, New York, where a community lies just like every other city in New York. Always busy with people bustling around, living their lovely lives in relative civility. The only difference about Winter Hollow is that the city was created for the unfortunate souls that allowed the government to test a new vaccine on them. The vaccine, intended to help keep the citizens of the United States safe from many common and potentially deadly illnesses, was mandated by the government that all should receive the dosage of multiple vaccines in one. It was a very considerate idea from the government but it didn't turn out like they planned.
The residents of Winter Hollow were the first ones to test out the effects of the new vaccine. Nothing seemed abnormal at first until about two weeks after the vaccine was administered. That was when they started to become increasingly uncomfortable in direct sunlight. Their senses became even more acute. Their involuntary actions such as breathing became slower and less necessary. The most concerning reaction of all was the craving for bloody meat or just blood in general. Some found out the hard way that animal blood just didn't cut it. Drinking animals' blood made them extremely ill and it took months for some of them to recover. A few died, sadly. It was only human blood they could drink and survive on as they found out.
The government was appalled at what had happened to their citizens and right away, they segregated the test group to a chilly corner of New York in a gated city. Most of the residents are vampires, if you didn't get the connection, but the federal officials do allow humans to live in the city at their own risk. Despite Winter Hollow's vampire population, the city is normal. People living their lives as well as their undead lives. Where will your mortal or immortal life fall among the rest?
Welcome the place where time is Fractured Forever.
