A slender hand braced itself on the door to Merlotte's Bar and Grill, a petite and slender Asian woman stepped through the doorway but refused to make much eye contact with anybody in the bar. She was wearing black dress pants, a white dress shirt and a green Grabbit-Kwik vest. Soft caramel hues tore themselves away from the floor only long enough to look for a spare booth tucked away near the back.
Miso had just got off of work only twenty minutes earlier but had decided to stop at Merlotte's for supper rather than using the microwave at home. She remained quiet, taking her own seat and cupping her chin in her hand as she put her elbow on the table and tried to make eye contact with a near by waitress.
"Go back to China, you don't belong here"
The comment had pulled Miso out of her focus and caused her to turn around to the source of the voice.
"Oh my god! That is so freaky!"
But the girl's lips didn't move, and Miso let out a heavy breath before she turned her attention back in front of her. She had let her guard down and Miso had closed her eyes to try and focus herself. This was a new place and the first time Miso had been there, which was odd considering she lived only fifteen minutes away. Maybe it was fate, or a gut feeling that pulled her here, but Miso still believed everything happened for a reason.. and tonight would be no exception.

It had been nearly five years since she had walked into Merlotte's Bar and Grill. Nothing had changed, a perk for her, and Danika stepped in out of the night into the boisterous restaurant. Some people turned to look at her, some with slight recognition of her, most just out of curiosity. She smiled sweetly, and turned to the booths and tables. All of them were full. All but one.
The woman at the booth was beautiful, there was no doubt about that, but completely out of place. Dani had seen several unique people in Bon Temps in the past, but no Asians. Holding her head up as Akasha had taught her when meeting people, Danika approached the woman.
"I'm Sorry to bother you," she began, her voice a sweet melody slightly background by her Russian accent. "Do you mind it I sit here? Everywhere else is full."

Miso knew she was out of place, and not only in the restaurant - she was out of place in the whole town. Unfortunately, because she had dipped in long enough into someones mind she had unlocked everyone's thoughts. They were all coming to her at once and she was getting flustered, heart pounding in her chest until - -
"I'm Sorry to bother you,"
The voices stopped, and there was silence. Miso's big dark eyes looked at the woman and she swallowed hard. Pale cheeks flushed, not only because the woman had approached her out of the blue but also because she knew right away that the sudden silence could only mean one thing...
"Do you mind it I sit here? Everywhere else is full."
Miso knew that the place was full, because there had been so many voices in her head - voices that she could completely tune out now thanks to Danika. Miso had finally nodded, one slender hand gesturing to the opposite side of the booth.
"Please"

Danika smiled happily as she took the seat across from Miso. She called for the waitress to bring her a menu then turned back to her company. "I'm Danika, by the way," she introduced, the continued on to say, "Yes, I am a vampire and no I am not going to eat you." I was an answer of two of the most common questions asked by humans.
Tilting her head slightly, she continued on speaking, "I've never seen you in these parts... How long have you been in Bon Temps?" Then Dani went silent, giving Miso a chance to speak.
Havin been gone for the past five years, it had been a while since Danika found herself interacting with a human. Or anyone for that matter, and she had to remind herself often of how to act in society.

Ray ran a hand over his short cropped hair as he exited his Porsche. The Vampire grimaced as if pain upon viewing the dust which clung the car even though it had just been washed earlier that night. He sighed and shook his head. He had been to many backwater towns in many backwater counties, but Bon Temps took the cake! What the hell was he doing here again? O yeah, word had it that the rebel leader was currently in town. Ray had been tracking him down for awhile now, he desperately wanted to meet with the man. Not the join his cause of course, they were doomed to fail and die horribly. By Ray’s best estimate they had a fiver percent chance for success. Definitely not high enough to catch his attention. He just wanted to have a conversation with the Vampire who was brave enough to go up against the Authority. The guy had some balls to him. But first a quick bottle of blood wouldn’t go amiss. That was why he had stopped at Merlot’s Bar and Grill. He wasn’t particularly hungry but he had driven all the day from Shreveport after all. Why drive when running was definitely faster some people might ask? Because he liked cars and he liked driving that was why. Screw practicality! One had to appreciate the finer things in life. Ray ran a loving hand over the bonnet of his ride. She was definitely worth every cent he had paid for her. With one more loving tap he turned and dashed across the parking lot and towards the front door, moving so fast his outline blurred. He arrived at the entrance to the building in less than three seconds flat, startling an elderly couple who were about to enter. With many mutterings they abruptly turned around and headed in the direction they came from. Ray smirked. Absentmindedly touching a hand to one of the twin 9mm guns tucked neatly into his waistband he shouldered the door open and entered. He immediately felt the scrutiny of many eyes as he slowly walked across the room towards the bar. He ignored them. Best thing to do as he had quickly learned upon being Turned. Ray took a deep breath, taking the scent of the room deep into his dead lungs before releasing. Beer, fatty food, and smoke. All the scent of a bar. O blood, let’s not forget blood. Fresh sweet nectar. The thought of warm live blood almost made his fangs bud but he regained control of himself in time. No need to scare the public even more, didn’t want them calling the cops on him and he could sense their nervousness as it was. Wow, was he that scary? The Vampire checked the thick gold watch on his left wrist, it was just a little after eight. The night was young yet, still enough time for him to track down__________ then it him like a ton of bricks. The sweet heavenly aroma that he had only smelled twice before in his undead life. Ray’s fang budded immediately as he stopped dead in his track and took another deep inhale. There was a fucking fairy here! The scent was unmistakable! He immediately began scanning around for the fae all thoughts of self control tossed through the window. If there was a fairy here he was going to drain them. It was that simple. He’d had fae blood once before. It was……..it was euphoric. Godly. Real life ambrosia. He would get it again before the night was out, that he swore! Outfit:[url= click here

"I'm Danika, by the way,"
Miso nodded, figuring it to be customary that she offered her own name in introduction. "And I am Miso"
After the brief introduction, Miso was a bit surprised by what Danika had said next. "Yes, I am a vampire and no I am not going to eat you." She really couldn't help but to feel uneasy at that, shifting in her seat as she tucked her hair behind her ear. The bar was crowded that night, but Miso had to admit the woman sitting across from her was quite attractive. Attractive and ... reassuring, and Miso was grateful for the silence. "I've never seen you in these parts... How long have you been in Bon Temps?"
"My family relocated to Shreveport but I decided to move to Bon Temps not too long ago. It is.. " Miso was thinking of a way to describe Bon Temps, after all, it wasn't exactly the nicest of places she had been too... "... different" Different worked. Different was...
Suddenly Miso was pulled away from Danika by a panic onset of many thoughts. Minds were alarmed by the newest arrival that came through the doors of Merlotte's and Miso found her own caramel hues focused on the tall man that had entered. Instinctively she put her guard up, immediately directing her focus on him so that she could hear his thoughts. Only there was nothing, just like there had been nothing with Danika, and that only met one thing...
He was a vampire, but he was different. She couldn't put her finger on it. Just his presence in the bar sent shivers up her spine as she watched him check his watch and stop suddenly. He was smelling the air, and her heart went into her throat... her mother had warned her about some vampires. Not all vampires were like Danika, not all vampires could control their hunger or have self control when it came to what she was. She had to get away, she had to run or hide because like this - she was a sitting duck.
"Danika, I... I have to get out of here. There is someone here, that wants to - " Miso put her hand on Danika's and nudged her head toward Ray. "hurt me. He hasn't noticed me yet, but he will... soon" Oh, the curse of being a part fae telepath, if only she had been a shifter or werewolf her luck might of favored just a little better that night.
The truth was, Miso was scared out of her wits of the vampire. On one hand, she might of been safer in the crowd surrounded by other supernaturals, humans, and Danika but.. she also didn't want anybody else to get hurt because of her. She did the only thing she could think of, because she felt safer with Danika then running off and drawing attention to herself, and slipped underneath the table. She remained close to Danika's legs, as far back underneath the table as she could possible get as she pulled her own legs up to her chest and clenched her eyes shut.
... it would take a miracle for her to make it out of Merlotte's alive.

Danika followed Miso's gaze to the man that had just walked into the restaurant. He was tall, dark skinned and very much a vampire. One much older than her. Miso was obviously frightened of the man, but the reason was unclear for her. As her new friend swiftly ducked under the table, Danika removed her eyes from the man, hopefully before he had noticed her staring. With her vampire quickness, Danika took a napkin from the table top and a pen out of her purse and wrote: Stay quiet and trust me... She felt bad for the girl that cowarded under the table and she quickly passed her the note. Simple, but it said it all, and if Miso heeded the words that she had written, it would be easier for her to protect her. Playing it off as though there wasn't an adorable Asian girl huddled by her feet, she called the waitress over and ordered two tru-bloods; A+ and O-.

Goddamn fairy was trying to hide for him. Infuriation filled Raymond as he continued glaring around the crowd, not caring about the many nervous looks and mutters that he causing. A fairy was here! He was sure of it! The scent was thick in the air, but he just couldn’t pinpoint exactly who it is. The vampire growled in frustration and anger, only one thing to do. He was going to bite every goddamn person in this room! Ray was about to flit over to the nearest table and start the biting frenzy when he spotted her. She was rather short, she was pale, she appeared to be unafraid of him and that captured his attention and told him that she was a vampire before she confirmed the fact by ordering a couple bottles of synthetic blood. Good, maybe she knew something. Maybe he didn’t have to taste the blood of everyone in the room after all. That was a relief. Ray immediately made a beeline for the vampire woman’s booth. The scent of fae was still mouthwateringly thick in the air, goddamn he had to have some of that! He had to! The vampire stopped in front of the booth and decided that being blunt was the best tactic. He didn’t have time to waste. He needed to get his hand on some fae blood now. “Where is the fae?” Ray asked his voice thick. Gah, he had forgotten. This woman was here first and she probably already had a claim on the fae. Still not a matter. He was desperate. “I’m prepared to be very generous. Just name a price.”

Would anyone else in the restaurant think it was silly that an Asian girl thought hiding underneath a table would be a good idea? Probably. But Miso didn't care. Miso was petrified, and she felt a hell of a lot safer with Danika than anyone else in that bar right now. Especially when it came to the dark vampire that was planning on having Asian part-fae for supper. Miso had heard horror stories from her mother and that had been enough, every fiber in her being was telling her that she needed to do everything in her power to make sure he didn't get his hands on her.
What a frightful feeling, her heart was beating so fast that she barely noticed Danika reach under the table to hand her a napkin. Swallowing Miso took the napkin, clenching onto it tightly when she read the words - Stay quiet and trust me... Oh, Miso was staying quiet alright - it was the one thing she was good at, her heart was making enough noise in her head that she didn't want to speak anyway.
Ba Dum. Ba Dum. Ba Dum. Miso could hear everything that was going on, her dark caramel hues widened when she heard Danika order the two bottles of True Blood. She knew what that meant, and that was that Danika was coaxing the other vampire over to the table. It didn't take long, maybe a fraction of a second when Miso found herself looking toward the shoes that the other vampire was wearing. There was thankfully enough room underneath the tables that if Miso was careful enough the vampire wouldn't feel her underneath there. It just meant being uncomfortable for a bit and Miso, well, Miso would stay under there for hours huddled next to Danika's lean legs if she had too.
“Where is the fae?”
Miso clenched her eyes shut and swallowed hard.
“I’m prepared to be very generous. Just name a price.”
A price. Miso was about to be sold to the highest bidder like she was some kind of cattle. She just hoped that Danika had everything she could possibly need, because Miso's fate was now entirely in Danika's hands.

Danika looked up at the man as he approached her. He seemed so tall as he stood next to the booth, but she knew most of that feeling came from the fact that she was sitting. His words were direct and obviously not well planned out as he openly spoke of purchasing a Fairy. Though she was a young vampire, she heard of this creature often. Something about their blood that made vampires crazy and it was why Miso smelled so good to her.
Danika could hear Miso's heartbeat, making her want to kick her and tell her to calm down, but she couldn't do that now. Not with the second vampire wanting to drain her. She had to think quickly. What would Akasha do? Stiffling a laugh, Danika knew what she would do. Decapitate him for interupting their outing. It wasn't a smart thing for Danika to do considering her age, but W.W.A.D. was a good start.
Taking on her adoptive maker's attitude and Dani's natural Russian charm, she turned to the man and said, "Is that anyway to approach the Princess of California?" With a seductive smile she continued. "Perhaps you would like to start over before you begin talking business."
It was a start, but she truely hoped that Miso was trusting her. Because if she freaked out, Danika had no idea what she would do. There were only two outcomes from here. One with an uncertain outcome, the other death...

No Ray most definitely did not want to start over before talking business. The vampire was very attractive no doubt about that. But at the moment nothing else mattered but getting his hands on some fae blood. It was the only thing on his mind, unfortunate really because maybe had he been less preoccupied he might have heard the thudding beat of a terrified heart issuing from this booth whose, apparently, only inhabitant was an undead women whose heart had permanently stopped beating a long time ago. But as it was Ray didn’t hear it. All he heard was the girl’s words which informed him of one thing, which was that she was trying to play games. This was the thing about vampires! Everybody wanted to play around, everybody were into games. Well the scent of fae blood had gotten to his head and Ray was not into the mood to put up with it today.
He snarled in disgust and slowly and very menacingly placed his hand on the table. This vampire was young, that was obvious. One of the few that Ray had run across that was even younger than himself if he was correct. He could tell by the fact that her skin still had a lot of color and vibrancy to it. The longer a vampire has been dead the paler his skin seem to become, or so he had been told. He saw nothing to make him doubt that as all the vampires he had met thus far had been extremely old and all of them had been pale as alabaster.
“No I would not like to start over if its all the same to you. In fact, Maybe I need to be a bit blunter,” He growled out. “Take the money and point out the fairy and we can be friends,” He leaned a bit closer looking the woman straight in the face as he continued on, his voice neither rising nor falling. “Or don’t take the money and continue playing around in which case………..” he trailed off leaving what he would do open to her interpretation. It was an old army trick, let them create their own tortures.
He hoped she was smart enough to take his offer and quit messing around. It would be a shame if he had to gun her down here in front of all these people but he was quite prepared to do that. a silver bullet in their body would definitely get any vampire talking.

(My apologies on my late reply)
“Or don’t take the money and continue playing around in which case………..”
This wasn't the way Miso pictured her evening going, she had expected that Merlotte's would of been a place she could just come and eat and be safe at home by the end of the night. However, it wasn't the case for the part fae - who seemed to attract vampires to her like a moth to the flame. She was so dangerously close to the flame that she could feel her porcelain skin burning. Her entire fate rested on Danika, and the other vampire wasn't making it easy - hell, she couldn't blame Danika if she took the money and handed Miso to Raymond on a silver platter. It had been a long time since Miso felt so helpless.
Miso had managed to calm down her beating heart, wishing she could be pulled into some fae world right at that moment as she stared at the palm of her hand. One vampire she could possible fight off, but two? Especially now that she sort of liked the beautiful black-haired vampire, and Miso couldn't really say that about many people.
Miso may of had a knack for getting herself into these situations, but she also had an equal knack for getting herself out. Maybe it was her own fairy guardian, or maybe she just had some sort of horseshoe up her ass. No, it was probably her own fairy guardian, but she knew better than anyone that a full fae would hardly want to risk getting caught by two vampires or even being seen by a room full of patrons. Again, Miso was burying her head into her knees and silently cursing herself for getting put into such situations.
Stay quiet and trust me...
The words played back in her head as she looked up at Danika, despite only being able to see the woman from under a table. Miso was waiting for some kind of cue as what to do, she hardly wanted Danika to be pulled into this mess. Maybe Danika would say Miso was going to be a gift for her queen? Or something like that? Miso herself knew a bit about vampires, after all - they were even bigger threats to her than they were to "normal" humans. One thing about vampires was that they were all about the hierarchy and politics - something that may actually be in Miso's own favor for once.
That is, if Danika decided to play that card..

Akasha was in the back of the limo that has been driving form California to Bon Temps, she needed to check on the plantation that she left 5 years ago after Danika ran off. 4 of those 5 years was devoted to finding Dani but after failing so many times, she knew Dani really did not want to be found and hoped that everything she taught her would serve her well.
The limo cruised past Merlotte's, Akasha glared out the window at a place she once loved to scare the crap out of mortals in. While passing the bar she could hear the people inside, eating, drinking, having a good time, and a familiar voice... "Danika".She whispered to herself. She told the driver to pullover and she flew out of the car and ran inside Merlotte's Bar And Grill.
She ran in and imminently saw Danika and a tall, dark vampire, she saw he had something like a gun on his side, she has been around long enough to know the shape of a gun though some ones coat when she sees it. She quickly ran over there and took the gun from the vampires side and before he knew what happen, the gun was pointed at his head. " I hope you weren't thinking of using this on the princess of California, were you?" Akasha kept the gun to his head just in case he tries something stupid, she knew it was silver bullets in the gun but before she put the gun to his head she switch the bullets with wooden, she never thought she could move that fast before, but she hasn't seen Danika in 5 years and she'll be damned if the next time she sees her she's a pile of vampire goo.

“Or don’t take the money and continue playing around in which case………..”
It wasn't until that moment that she noticed the gun that had the scent of silver coming from it. What real vampire would use a gun? Danika wondered, keeping herself calm despite the fact. She was faced with three options, none upon which she favored over the other. She could hand Miso over to the man for the cash, but Dani never had a fancy for money. Another option was to keep 'playing games' with the psycho vampire and get herself killed, resulting in Miso getting captured, and if she was going to do that, she would have happily traded the girl for the cash. The only option left was to try and take the gun from him and turn the tables.
But as she began to reach from the gun, a familiar blur entered the bar, then became solid holding the gun to the mans head. For a moment, Danika had forgotten the girl under the table as she stared at her adoptive maker. Collecting herself once more, she replied to the male vampire. "Threatening a figure of authority is punishable by death, but it isn't my place to place judgement." She turned to Akasha, her face emotionless like stone as she lowered her head with respect. "My Queen..."
Ignoring the sudden hush of the bar, Danika reached under the table for Miso. She smiled to her reassuring her that everything was alright.
