Helena yawned as she place her fork down on her plate. She had been sitting for almost an hour, eating her steak dinner in silence. Although it wasn't as silent as she had hoped. The audible sound of utensils scraping on the porcelin dishes didn't seem to bother anyone else, and Helena tried her best to ignore it. She sat back in the booth that she occupied and watched the locals go about their normal evening activities.
It seemed to her that everyone was avoiding her, but she told herself that it was because they weren't used to strangers. Or perhaps it was because they thought she was vampire. Whatever the case, she held in her overwhelming sense of loneliness and secretly wished for a companion. Anyone would do.
She sighed and began to get up. It was getting late, but she wasn't tired. She paid her bill and slowly headed for the door.

Chris was at home watching tv when he decided to go to Merlotte's barr and have some fun. He was alredy dressed wearing a red V-neck, blue jeans, sperries and a silver chain. He went into his bathroom before leaving to make sure that he looked good just incase he met someone that he might like, male or female it didnt matter to Chris. After he checked to make sure he looked good in the mirror, he went to go pick up his keys and his cell phone and headed for the door.
It took him 20min to finaly see the neon lights on the building. Before Chris got out the car he checked again to make sure nothing was on his face and that he looked good. Once his apperance check was over he got out of the car and headed towards the door. From the outside he could hear the music that was being played in the bar and he could hear a lot of talking.
Opening the door to the bar he looked around and seem everybody in the bar having a good time dancing, drinking, and eating and tonight Chris wanted to be one of those people. He didnt want to be doing it alone so he looked around the bar to see if he could find someone to talk to and try to be friends with. Not to long after starting his search he seen a young lady walking slowly towards the door like there was something wrong with her. Being the nice person he is he went up to the young lady. "Hello there. Are you ok? You look like something is wrong."

She was searching her purse for her car keys when she had been addressed. It had startled her and Helena stopped suddenly and looked up. Through all the noise of the bar, she hadn't heard the man walk up to her. Dropping the keys that her hand had found at the moment the man spoke to her, she smiled bashfully at the handsome man and replied, "Oh, it's nothing." It was an obvious lie, but surely the stranger wouldn't want to really concern himself with her problems. After she had answered him, she wondered why she had as well as why this man had chose to ask if she was OK. She readjusted her purse onto her shoulder.
"My name is Helena," she introduced, offering her hand to the man. "I'm new in town." It was a straight forward introduction, friendly and not too desperate for companionship, though she really was.

Chris noticed how his words startled the young lady. "Oh, it's nothing." The young lady said, but Chris wasn't stupid he knew that somthing was wrong with her and he wanted to help her get through whatever was going on. "My name is Helena," What a pretty name Chirs thought. "Im new in town." He liked how the young lady put her hand out in her introuduction, so he did the same.
"Nice to meet you Helena, my name is Christopher, but everybody calls me Chris." As Chris shook her hand he put on a smile that showed his white pearly teeth. Most people he met didn't get to see Chris smile like that. "Come on lets sit down. Im hate seeing young pretty girls like yourself looked so sad." Still holding her hand Chris slowly pulled her to the closes booth he could find. "So tell me the thruth this time. Whats really wrong?"

Helena followed the man and took a seat at the booth he had pulled her to. "Uhm..." is the only thing she said for a long time. She tried to think of what to say. Here she was about to give up on being social in Bon Temps, just to have a very attractive man waltz in and ask her to tell him what was bothering her. She shrugged, averting her eyes away from Chris to prevent herself from staring.
"It's just..." she began, not really knowing how to word it. "It seems as though everyone avoids me." It was easier than she thought it would be, opening up to a stranger she had just met. "Like I'm a vampire or something, but even the vampires avoid me. It's almost like I'm an alien or something."
It was strange. She always had a feeling that she was different from the rest, which drove her to want to be around vampires. In all honesty, she didn't know where she belonged in this world, or if she belonged at all.

"Uhm..." The young lady said. Chris sput both of his elbows on the table and starred at Helena because that was the only thing she said for a while but he didnt rush her, he let her take her time to tell him. "It's just..." Another pause. Chris didnt like how she was pausing after every 1 or 2 words because to Chris that lets him know that somrthing is very wrong with someone.
"It seems as though everyone avoids me." Chris didnt really know what she ment by that so he let her continue before he said somthing. "Like I'm a vampire or something, but even the vampires avoid me. It's almost like I'm an alien or something." He looked at her with confusion. How could people try to avoid her expecialy vampires. Chris hated vampires with a passion. So the name vampire made him a little mad inside, but this wasnt about him it was about the young lady in front of him, so he didnt show any anger when she said vampire.
"How in the world could people try to avoid someone like, that just doesnt make any sence. Well trust me your not an alien. Well at least I dont think so." Chris did a slight laugh as he picked up the menu waiting on Helena to respond

Helena sighed, eyeing the menu the waitress had given her, not really feeling like ordering anything since she just ate. "I know it's stupid." She just wanted to forget about it. Looking up from the table she found herself staring at the mysterious man across the table from her.
Here, a man she had never met before, appeared out of nowhere and began to ask her to tell him what was wrong. But she knew nothing about him. It was strange but she felt intrigued. [colro=ff99cc]"So, enough about me,"[/color] she said with a smile. "Tell me about youself. Afterall, we cant become friends if we remain strangers, right?"
Helena lean forward, resting her elbows on the tabletop and proped her chin on her hand as she waited. Her grey eyes never left him. It was the most improbable thing that such a handsome man would even give her the time of day and she was awe-struck.

"I know it's stupid." Chris nodded his head agreeing with Helena. "Tell me about yourself. Afterall, we cant become friends if we remain stranger, right?" Chris moved the menu from infront of his face, setting it on the table. he leaned on the table locking his hands together.
"Well first off my name is Christopher Walker, as you already know. I was born on March 5 in Duncan, South Carolina. I am 22 years old, and i hate Vampires." Chris paused for a minute takeing a deep breath he continued. "I love football, basketball and I love watching tv."
Chris unlocked his fingers and leaned back in his seat. He kinda regreted telling her he hated vampires because he had a feeling she was gonna ask him why he didn't like vampires, and he really didn't feel like telling her the story, but if she did ask he would tell her.
"Well there you go, I told you a little somthing about me. Now its time to tell me a little something about you."
