The Post Russell Edgington world has left the vampire community scraping up to pick up the pieces. The Fellowship of the Sun has strength its numbers and the growing resistance has made the American Vampire League wary. Not even Tru Blood can qualm the masses.
It has been a full year since Sookie Stackhouse has left to the land of fairies, Faery. In that year, Bill Compton has gained the monarchy of Louisiana after Sophie-Anne was killed. King Bill has done his duty to repair the nice vampire image that AVL has worked hard to make. Eric Northman has also done his best to help out, promoting Fangtasia as a family friendly restaurant. Still, the threat of vampire’s blood thirty natures is hard for many to swallow.
Yet it isn’t just the threat of Fellowship of the Sun that looms over the vampires but rather, another magical community. Witches have sprung up in Louisiana and Bon Temps. The leader Marina isn’t just making herbal medicine or praying to Mother Nature…she has plans to control vampires with magic. She just needs a subject.
Sookie has return to Bon Temp to find that everything and everyone she knew has changed. Her house bought up by Eric Northman, her best friend moved away, even Jason became a police officer in her absence!
